This three-hour class Essentials of Management specifically targets management's responsibilities for reducing E&O exposure in the agency. Agency employees involved in sales and service are on the front lines when it comes to reducing E&O exposure. But management provides the tools and the oversight for their success. Department managers, supervisors and agency principals set the guidelines and controls by which employees perform their work. No matter what your title, if you are involved in management, this class will provide valuable insights to help reduce your agency's E&O exposure.

Nancy Germond is the Executive Director, Risk Management and Education, for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, the “Big I.” She is located in Phoenix, Arizona. With almost four decades of risk management experience, her unique insights and abilities help businesses better understand and manage their risk. Nancy has authored scores of risk management-related articles, and white papers and has consulted and presented to public-sector and private-sector insurance organizations. She is a licensed P&C agent and adjuster.
A second-generation insurance professional, Nancy was the first risk manager of the City of Prescott, Arizona, and has worked in the private and public sectors as a claim and risk manager. Nancy holds a B.A. in Communication from Mills College and a Master’s degree in sociology from Lincoln University. She also holds the Associate in Risk Management, the Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America, the Insurance Training Professional Designation from the Society of Insurance Trainers and is a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management.

Kim Hutson Related Seminars and Products
Kim began her insurance career in 2000, purchased her father’s agency in 2005 and sold her agency to Assured Partners of Texas in 2018. She continued to work as Director of Commercial P &C Operations until December 2019. After a brief retirement, Kim began working for IIAT as an Agency Coach. Her focus was supporting agencies to maximize their potential with a focus on operation, employees and profitability. She drew on her experience of owning and operating Hutson Insurance Group for almost 20 years. She then expanded her focus to include Education Director where she managed the IIAT curriculum offerings to their members as well as teaching classes. Kim continues to share her experience to help educate and grow insurance professionals teaching and creating educational content for the industry.
